ABOUT CUTC AWARDS

The CUTC awards competition recognizes outstanding transportation students, faculty and leaders for their accomplishments in the field of transportation research and education. Each year, individuals are honored at the Annual CUTC Awards Reception and Banquet. These individuals, who have been nominated by educators from across the country, have emerged as some of the best and brightest minds in the industry.

GET INVOLVED

There are many ways to become involved in the CUTC Award process. Share student award opportunities with your students; nominate a colleague or staff member for one of the professional awards; or choose to review award submissions.  Most award review processes occur in the fall (October/November/December).

STUDENT AWARD REVIEWERS

Interested in reviewing student award applications? The student review process will require a minimum of 24 volunteers (four 4 for each student award category). To become a reviewer, please contact Sue McNeil and indicate your preference to evaluate nominations in the science & technology or policy & planning category. Last year’s reviewers will be contacted directly to seek their continuing commitment to the exercise.

Upon completion of the review process, Student Award Reviewers will have the opportunity to obtain a 50% discount for the Student Awards Banquet registration.

PROFESSIONAL AWARD REVIEWERS

Interested in reviewing professional award applications? Please contact CUTC Executive Director Traci Ulberg to indicate your interest.  All reviewers are selected based in part on professional knowledge as well as potential conflicts of interest.  As such, if a nomination is received from a university or center you are affiliated with, we may ask you to forego participation on a review committee.   As always, last year’s reviewers will be contacted directly to seek their continuing commitment to the process.
